Prairie Fibreshed is pleased to host Lisa Surber for a hands-on workshop on wool quality improvement & grading and classing wool.
Topics covered in the workshop include :
- Wool science & quality
- Wool classing and grading
- Using wool testing technology to improve wool clip
- Factors influencing wool price
- Adding value to your wool
There will be an opportunity to examine a number of fleeces including various breeds and levels of quality. We hope to offer a shearing and skirting demonstration on Sunday afternoon, but this will be weather dependant.
